Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Peterborough

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Peterborough is proud to announce the Second Annual Darryl Lloyd Memorial Golf Tournament to be held Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Peterborough Golf and Country Club.

The 2009 Inaugural Tournament was a huge success and perhaps one of the premiere tournaments in the Kawarthas. We invite all participants to come out again to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peterborough in their working mentoring youth.

Little Brother Darryl Lloyd was matched with Keith Calderwood in July of 2000. Their regular outings included fishing, baseball, hockey, cycling, walking his dog and together they had just begun to enjoy the sport of golf. Most of their days finished with a stop at Tim Horton's where D would enjoy an iced cappuccino while indulging in conversation on the topic of life!

Darryl was full of life and energy!

Tragically in June of 2003 his life was brought to an end in a fatal accident.

Through the relationship between Keith and Darryl, Big Brothers and Big Sisters introduced two people to one another for a relationship that was simply amazing and filled with memories that will live on forever!

This memorial tournament in Darryl’s name will assist in brining other “Bigs and Littles” together.
